Keller’s face drained of color as he stared at the display in disbelief, his attorney spluttering futile objections. Judge Chen leaned forward menacingly, her eyes boring into Keller’s soul. “Your crimes against our society have earned you a place among the minuscule,” she spat out, her anger palpable. “Prepare yourself for a descent into helplessness and humiliation.” With that ominous declaration, the court proceedings resumed their somber pace, leading towards an outcome unlike any other in legal history. Finally, she spits a deep dollop of saliva into the gum-wad until the tiny man is drowning in it. The narrative ends with Judge Chen staring down at the imprisoned Keller, barely able to see him through the glistening mass.
